The Ambla ( Estonian Ambla jõgi ) is a 31 km long river in Estonia . He is also called Albu jõgi . Its catchment area covers 242 km².
The Ambla has its source at the 3.4 hectare Roosna Lake ( Roosna järv ), about 3.7 km from Ambla in Järva County . Its upper course lies on the Pandivere ridge .
The Ambla flows into the Jägala River . The largest tributary is the Sääsküla oja brook on the left .
The Ambla is particularly known for its brown trout .
