Ambra Danon

Ambra Danon is an Italian costume designer in film and theater. She became known for her work for films such as A Cage Full of Fools , Another Cage Full of Fools and A Cage Full of Fools - Now is Married .

life and career

Ambra Danon was born as the daughter of the Italian screenwriter and film producer Marcello Danon . Inspired by the work of her parents, her mother worked as an actress in the Italian theater, she turned to the stage and film as a costume designer in the 1970s. In 1975 she worked for the director Maurizio Ponzi on his film drama Il caso Raoul . She achieved great success as a costume designer for the cinema in 1978, when she and Piero Tosi produced the costumes for the film comedy A Cage Full of Fools by director Édouard Molinaro with Ugo Tognazzi and Michel Serrault in the leading roles. The duo of costume designers received an Oscar nomination in the Best Costume Design category for their father's film, who acted as screenwriter and producer . Also in the sequels Another Cage Full of Fools in 1980 and A Cage Full of Fools - Now Getting Married in 1985 Ambra Danon played a key role in her work as a costume designer.
