Ameisenweg is a Swiss film that tells the story of a fourteen-year-old Albanian who is forced to work as a drug dealer in Switzerland.

action

The fourteen-year-old Albanian “Ergan” illegally crossed the border to Zurich . There he is used as a dealer by his uncle. After his uncle's disappearance without a trace, Ergan is only a drug-addicted prostitute .

The two police officers "Mario Capaul" and "Heuberger" are assigned to deal with the drug case. Capaul suspects the true background of the story, but Ergan suddenly becomes the hunted. He is wanted not only by the police, but also by his uncle's competition, in order to be silenced. Ergan has to fight to survive.

Ergan's uncle, Arben, is a criminal living in Zurich . Since he is financially troubled and, because of the drugs he has taken, is obliged to deliver the proceeds he has received, he is under great pressure.

The prostitute Linda, who comes from a middle-class family, is addicted to heroin and finances her addiction on the drug line . Despite the addiction to drugs, the human sparkles out of Linda from time to time and lets one clearly feel the loneliness and vulnerability of a person.

Despite the rather unknown cast, the film quickly attracted a lot of media coverage. Some time later it was shown in Swiss cinemas.
