Pascal Ulli

Pascal Ulli (born September 22, 1969 in Bern ) is a Swiss actor , producer and director . Ulli was the founder and producer of the OFF OFF stage together with Igor Bauersima , Ingrid Sattes and Alexander Seibt . He is also a producer of independent theater productions and spielplatzfilme GmbH.

Pascal Ulli's first appearance in the cinema was his role as "John Koska" in Night of the Juggler of Michael Steiner . For this performance he received the audience award for best young European actor at the 9th international film festival in Geneva in 1996 .

Life

Pascal Ulli received private acting lessons from Marie-Louise Lang-Willi while he was still at school . He went to the High School to the HB Studio , where he led by Uta Hagen was trained in New York. It was there that Ulli got to know the American art of acting , method acting , and has since worked intensively with this method of acting.

Ulli has been working as an actor, producer and director since 1993. He is fluent in German, English and French. Pascal Ulli has been married to Sibylla Ulli since August 2015 and he is the father of two children.

Pascal Ulli was the founder and producer of the Zurich OFF OFF stage. With his first directorial work 'The Basketball Diaries' he was invited to the Fringe Festival in New York.

In 2008 Pascal Ulli and Andreas Bernatschek took over the third oldest film distributor in Switzerland, Stamm Film AG. Since then, in addition to his work as an actor and producer, he has brought several films to Swiss cinemas every year.

In 2014 Pascal Ulli was nominated for the “Best Representation in a Supporting Role” for his portrayal of the junkie Ueli in the best Swiss film of 2014, Der Goalie bin ig, for the Swiss film prize “Quarz”. Ulli lost 15 kilos in 10 weeks for this film role.

Pascal Ulli has been working with Beat Schlatter , Andrea Zogg and Stephan Pörtner since 2015 in the theater production "Polizeiruf 117" in the Theater am Hechtplatz in Zurich.
