Amir Yarahi (* 1995 ) is a German YouTuber, author and voice actor . Under his pseudonym Kurono , which is named after a character from the Gantz anime series , he operates several YouTube channels on manga , anime and computer games .
Yarahi's parents are of Persian descent. Since graduating from high school, he has been studying media management in Cologne. From 2014 to 2017 he lived with Youtuber Julian Hannes ("Jarow") in a shared apartment in Cologne. He currently lives in Leipzig.
Yarahi plays guitar and is fluent in three languages (German, Persian and English). He grew up in Bad Vilbel, Hesse .
Together with Jarow, he hosted the TV show "Let's Watch with Jarow and Kurono" on RTL II You from 2015-2016 on the topic of mystery and the format "Kurow" on the topic of anime. He is also involved in the TubeClash web series .
In 2019 he starred in an episode of "X-Factor: The Incredible Returns".
In the radio play series " Dorian Hunter ", Yarahi plays the role of the technical assistant "Colin".
His first book, " Otaku Stories ", was published on February 28, 2020 and became a SPIEGEL bestseller.
Voice actor
Yarahi voiced the character Jouji Joe Nezu in the anime series Prison School . With the Youtubers Aaron Troschke (“Hey Aaron”) and Julian Hannes (“Jarow”) he had a guest appearance as a speaker in the Disney film Finding Dorie .
