Amos Omolo
Amos Omolo (born March 9, 1937 in Kenya ) is a former Ugandan sprinter .
In 1962 he won bronze over 440 yards at the British Empire and Commonwealth Games in Perth .
At the Olympic Games in Tokyo in 1964, he was eliminated over 400 m and in the 4-by-100-meter relay in the preliminary run.
Two years later he reached the semi-finals over 440 yards at the British Empire and Commonwealth Games in Kingston in 1966 and was eighth in the Ugandan 4-by-440-yard relay.
At the 1968 Olympic Games in Mexico City, he was eighth over 400 m . The Ugandan record over 400 m of 45.33 s, which he set in the quarterfinals, was only broken by Davis Kamoga in the 1990s . Over 100 m , he reached the quarter-finals.
In 1970 he failed at the British Commonwealth Games in Edinburgh over 100 m in the first round.
