Amparo Muñoz

Amparo Muñoz Quesada (born June 21, 1954 in Vélez-Málaga , Spain , † February 27, 2011 in Málaga , Spain) was a Spanish actress and was elected Miss Universe in 1974. In 1973 she was Miss Spain . She starred in numerous films.

Life

Amparo Muñoz was known in Spain as she stood in front of the camera in the 1970s with prominent Spanish actors such as Nino Bravo, Pedro Carrasco, Rocío Dúrcal, Rocío Jurado, Camilo Sesto, La Pandilla. After her victories in the Miss Spain and Miss Universe contests, she had a successful career in show business. In 1974 she was the first Spaniard to get the title “Miss Universe”, but gave it back in the same year after a dispute with the organizers.

In 1979, Muñoz appeared in the comedy Mama turns 100 (Mamá cumple cien años) directed by Carlos Saura . In 1982 she played in Todo un Hombre (He's all man) and Let's talk about it later (Hablamos esta noche) by Pilar Miró or 1997 family of Fernando Leon de Aranoa with. In 1999 she appeared in A Paradise Under the Stars (Un paraíso bajo las estrellas) and in 1979 in El Tahur , which was released on DVD in 2003. Amparo Muñoz was also a successful model . Due to illegal drug possession, unpaid bills and disputes with a producer, she had to deal with the judiciary several times.
