Ban Hong District ( Thai อำเภอ บ้านโฮ่ง , Pronunciation ʔāmpʰɤ̄ː Ban Hon ) is a district ( Amphoe - administrative district) of Lamphun province . The Lamphun Province is located in the northern region of Thailand .

Neighboring districts are (from north clockwise): Amphoe Wiang Nong Long , Pa Sang, Mae Tha , Thung Hua Chang and Li of Lamphun province, and Hot and Chom Thong of Chiang Mai Province .

history

Ban Hong was founded in 1917 as "branch circuit" ( King Amphoe ) established consisting of Tambon that the circle Pa Sang were split. On June 24, 1956, the sub-district received full amphoe status.

Local administration

There are two municipalities with "small town" status ( Thesaban Tambon ) in the district:

  • Ban Hong (Thai: เทศบาล ตำบล บ้านโฮ่ง ) consisting of parts of the Tambon Ban Hong.
  • Si Tia (Thai: เทศบาล ตำบล ศรี เตี้ย ) consisting of the complete tambon Si Tia.

There are also four " tambon administration organizations " ( องค์การ บริหาร ส่วน ตำบล - Tambon Administrative Organizations, TAO)

  • Wiang Kan (Thai: องค์การ บริหาร ส่วน ตำบล เวียง กานต์ ) consisting of parts of the Tambon Ban Hong.
  • Pa Phlu (Thai: องค์การ บริหาร ส่วน ตำบล ป่า พลู ) consisting of the complete tambon Pa Phlu.
  • Lao Yao (Thai: องค์การ บริหาร ส่วน ตำบล เหล่า ยาว ) consisting of the complete tambon Lao Yao.
  • Nong Pla Sawai (Thai: องค์การ บริหาร ส่วน ตำบล หนอง ปลา สะ วาย ) consisting of the complete Tambon Nong Pla Sawai.
