Amphoe Hot (in Thai : อำเภอ ฮอด ) is a district ( Amphoe - administrative district) in the southern part of Chiang Mai Province . Chiang Mai Province is located in the northern region of Thailand .

geography

Neighboring counties (clockwise from the north): the Amphoe Mae Chaem and Chom Thong of Chiang Mai Province, Ban Hong and Li of Lamphun Province , Doi Tao , Omkoi also from Chiang Mai Province, and Sop Moei and Mae Sariang of Mae Hong Province Son .

In the north of the district is the Op Luang National Park . The Mae Nam Ping (Ping River) flows through Amphoe Hot .

The district of Hot is divided into six tambon ("subdistricts" or "municipalities"), which are further subdivided into 61 muban ("villages").

Local administration

There are three municipalities with "small town" status ( Thesaban Tambon ) in the district:

  • Ban Tan (Thai: เทศบาล ตำบล บ้าน ตาล ) consisting of the complete tambon Ban Tan.
  • Tha Kham (Thai: เทศบาล ตำบล ท่า ข้าม ) consisting of parts of the Tambon Hang Dong.
  • Bo Luang (Thai: เทศบาล ตำบล บ่อ หลวง ) consisting of the complete tambon Bo Luang.

There are also four " tambon administration organizations " ( องค์การ บริหาร ส่วน ตำบล - Tambon Administrative Organizations, TAO)

  • Hang dong (Thai: องค์การ บริหาร ส่วน ตำบล หางดง ) consisting of parts of the tambon hang dong.
  • Hot (Thai: องค์การ บริหาร ส่วน ตำบล ฮอด ) consisting of the complete Tambon Hot.
  • Bo Sali (Thai: องค์การ บริหาร ส่วน ตำบล บ่อ ส ลี ) consisting of the complete tambon Bo Sali.
  • Na Kho Ruea (Thai: องค์การ บริหาร ส่วน ตำบล นาค อ เรือ ) consisting of the complete tambon Na Kho Ruea.
