Amphoe San Sai (in Thai : อำเภอ สันทราย ) is a district ( Amphoe - administrative district) in the central part of Chiang Mai Province . Chiang Mai Province is located in the northern region of Thailand .

Neighboring counties (clockwise from north): Mae Taeng , Doi Saket , San Kamphaeng , Mueang Chiang Mai and Mae Rim of Chiang Mai Province.
education
The central campus of Maecho University , which was founded in 1934 as a teacher training facility for agriculture, is located in the Amphoe San Sai .

In this district there is a commune with “city” status ( Thesaban Mueang ) : Mae Cho ( เทศบาล เมือง แม่ โจ้ ), consisting of parts of the Tambon Nong Chom, Nong Han and Pa Phai.

- San Sai Luang ( เทศบาล ตำบล สันทราย หลวง ) consists of the whole tambon San Sai Luang and San Sai Noi as well as parts of the tambon San Phranet and Pa Phai,

- San Na Meng ( เทศบาล ตำบล สัน นา เม็ง ) consists of the whole tambon San Na Meng,
- Nong Chom ( เทศบาล ตำบล หนอง จ๊ อม ) consists of further parts of the Tambon Nong Chom,
- Mae Faek ( เทศบาล ตำบล แม่ แฝก ) consists of the whole tambon Mae Faek,
- Chedi Mae Khrua ( เทศบาล ตำบล เจดีย์ แม่ ครัว ) consists of the whole Tambon Mae Faek Mai,
