Amphoe Pa Sang ( Thai อำเภอ ป่าซาง , pronunciation: ʔāmpʰɤ̄ː pàː sāːŋ ) is a district ( amphoe - administrative district) of the Province of Lamphun . The Lamphun Province is located in the northern region of Thailand .

geography

Neighboring counties (clockwise from the northeast): the Amphoe Mueang Lamphun , Mae Tha , Ban Hong and Wiang Nong Long of the Province of Lamphun , and Doi Lo and San Pa Tong of the Province of Chiang Mai .

history

The district was originally called Pak Bong after its central sub-district. In 1953 it was renamed Pa Sang.

Pa Sang County is divided into nine tambon ("subdistricts" or "municipalities"), which are further subdivided into 90 muban ("villages").

Local administration

There are four municipalities with "small town" status ( Thesaban Tambon ) in the district:

  • Pa Sang (Thai: เทศบาล ตำบล ป่าซาง ) consisting of the complete Tambon Pak Bong, Pa Sang.
  • Muang Noi (Thai: เทศบาล ตำบล ม่วง น้อย ) consisting of the complete Tambon Muang Noi.
  • Mae Raeng (Thai: เทศบาล ตำบล แม่แรง ) consisting of the complete tambon Mae Raeng.
  • Makok (Thai: เทศบาล ตำบล มะกอก ) consisting of the complete tambon Makok.

There are also four " tambon administration organizations " ( องค์การ บริหาร ส่วน ตำบล - Tambon Administrative Organizations, TAO)

  • Ban Ruean (Thai: องค์การ บริหาร ส่วน ตำบล บ้านเรือน ) consisting of the complete tambon Ban Ruean.
  • Tha Tum (Thai: องค์การ บริหาร ส่วน ตำบล ท่า ตุ้ม ) consisting of the complete Tambon Tha Tum.
  • Nam Dip (Thai: องค์การ บริหาร ส่วน ตำบล น้ำดิบ ) consisting of the complete Tambon Nam Dip.
  • Nakhon Chedi (Thai: องค์การ บริหาร ส่วน ตำบล นคร เจดีย์ ) consisting of the complete Tambon Nakhon Chedi.
