Amphoe Si Wilai ( Thai : อำเภอ ศรีวิไล ) is a district ( amphoe - administrative district) in the east of Bueng Kan Province . The province of Bueng Kan is located in the north of the northeast region of Thailand , the so-called Isan .

geography

Amphoe Si Wilai borders the following counties (clockwise from the north): Amphoe Bueng Kan , Seka and Phon Charoen . All of the Amphoe are in Nang Khai Province.

history

Si Wilai was set up on January 1, 1988, initially as a “branch circle” ( King Amphoe ) by separating the four tambon Si Wilai, Chumphu Phon, Na Saeng and Na Sabaeng from the Bueng Kan district . On July 4, 1994, it was promoted to Amphoe.
