Amphoe Phon Charoen ( Thai : อำเภอ พรเจริญ ) is a district ( amphoe - administrative district) in the province of Bueng Kan . The province of Bueng Kan is located in the north of the northeast region of Thailand , the so-called Isan .

Adjacent areas (from the west in the clockwise) Amphoe So Phisai , Mueang Bueng Kan , Si Wilai and Seka in the province of Bueng Kan, and the Amphoe Kham Ta Kla and Ban Muang the province Sakon Nakhon .

history

Phon Charoen was initially set up as a "branch circle" ( King Amphoe ) on November 16, 1976 by separating two tambon from the Bueng Kan district . On July 13, 1981, Phon Charoen was promoted to Amphoe.

The district of Phon Charoen is divided into seven tambon ("sub-districts" or "municipalities"), which are further subdivided into 58 muban ("villages").

Local administration

There are three municipalities with "small town" status ( Thesaban Tambon ) in the district:

  • Si Samran (Thai: เทศบาล ตำบล ศรี สำราญ ), consisting of the entire tambon Si Samran.
  • Don Ya Nang (Thai: เทศบาล ตำบล ดอน หญ้า นาง ), consisting of the entire tambon Don Ya Nang.
  • Phon Charoen (Thai: เทศบาล ตำบล พรเจริญ ), consisting of parts of the tambon Phon Charoen.

There are also four " Tambon Administrative Organizations " ( องค์การ บริหาร ส่วน ตำบล - Tambon Administrative Organizations, TAO):

  • Si Chomphu (Thai: องค์การ บริหาร ส่วน ตำบล ศรี ชม ภู )
  • Nong Hua Chang (Thai: องค์การ บริหาร ส่วน ตำบล หนอง หัว ช้าง )
