Amphoe So Phisai ( Thai : อำเภอ โซ่พิสัย ) is a Thai county ( Amphoe - administrative district) in the province of Bueng Kan . The province of Bueng Kan is located in the north of the northeast region of Thailand , the so-called Isan .

Amphoe So Phisai borders the following counties (clockwise from west): Amphoe Fao Rai and Rattanawapi in Nong Khai Province , Amphoe Pak Khat , Mueang Bueng Kan and Phon Charoen in Bueng Kan Province, and Amphoe Ban Muang of Sakon Nakhon Province .

history

So Phisai was initially set up on March 1, 1972 as a “branch circle” ( King Amphoe ) by separating the three tambon So, Si Chomphu and Nong Phan Tha from the Phon Phisai district . On April 12, 1977 it was promoted to Amphoe.
