The Office Jaenschwalde was a 1992 formed Office in Brandenburg, in the four municipalities in the former to circle Guben (now Spree-Neisse , Brandenburg ) had formed a management group. The seat of the official administration was in the municipality of Jänschwalde . The Jänschwalde office was dissolved in 2003. At the end of 2002 it had 2522 inhabitants.

Geographical location

The Jänschwalde office bordered the Schenkendöbern office in the north, the Republic of Poland in the east, the town of Forst in the south and the Peitz office in the southwest and west.

history

On December 22, 1992, the Minister of the Interior of Brandenburg gave his consent to the formation of the Jänschwalde Office. December 28, 1992 was set as the date on which the office was established. The approval was initially limited to December 28, 1994. The office was based in the municipality of Jänschwalde and consisted of four municipalities in what was then the district of Guben :

  1. Drewitz
  2. Semolina
  3. Horno
  4. Jänschwalde

At the time of its establishment, the office still had 3390 inhabitants. The time limit was lifted from September 12, 1994. On October 26, 2003, the new community Jänschwalde was formed by law from the communities of Grießen, Drewitz and Jänschwalde. The Jänschwalde office was dissolved and the new Jänschwalde municipality was assigned to the Peitz office.

On January 23, 2003, Werner Petrick retired after eight years of service. The last (deputy) official director was Klaus Richter.
