The Liebenwalde office was an office in the state of Brandenburg formed in 1992 , in which initially five municipalities of the then Oranienburg district (today Oberhavel district , Brandenburg ) had merged to form an administrative association. The official seat was in the city of Liebenwalde . The Liebenwalde office was dissolved again in 2003. At the end of 2002 it still had 4672 inhabitants.

Geographical location

The Liebenwalde office bordered in the north on the Zehdenick and municipalities , in the east on the Groß Schönebeck (Schorfheide) and Wandlitz offices , in the south on the Wandlitz and Oranienburg-Land offices , and in the west on the Löwenberg offices .

history

On September 14, 1992, the Minister of the Interior of the State of Brandenburg approved the establishment of the Liebenwalde Office. September 15, 1992 was determined as the date on which the office was established. The approval was initially limited to September 15, 1994. The office was based in the city of Liebenwalde and consisted of five communities in what was then the Oranienburg district :

  2. Cross break
  3. New Holland
  4. Liebenthal
  5. Liebenwalde

At the end of 1992 the office had 4,814 inhabitants. The time limit for approval was lifted from August 18, 1994. In an announcement dated November 14, 2002, the Ministry of the Interior of Brandenburg approved the formation of a new town of Liebenwalde from the communities of Hammer, Liebenthal, Neuholland and the town of Liebenwalde (Liebenwalde district) and the municipality of Freienhagen ( Oranienburg-Land district ) The merger only became legally effective at the time of the next local elections on October 26, 2003. The municipality of Kreuzbruch was also incorporated into the city of Liebenwalde by law on October 26, 2003. The Liebenwalde office was dissolved, the city of Liebenwalde became vacant. The municipality of Kreuzbruch lodged a municipal constitutional complaint against its dissolution and incorporation into the city of Liebenwalde before the constitutional court of the state of Brandenburg, which, however, was partly rejected and the rest rejected.
