The Zehdenick office was an office in the state of Brandenburg formed in 1992 , in which eight communities from the then Gransee district (now Oberhavel district , Brandenburg ) had initially merged to form an administrative association. A little later, two more municipalities were assigned to the office by law. In 1995 the office was renamed to Zehdenik and Municipalities . The official seat was in the city of Zehdenick . The office of Zehdenick and municipalities was dissolved by law in 2003.

Geographical location

The Office Zehdenik or office Zehdenick and communities bordered to the north by the Office Furstenberg , in the northeast and east by the Office Templin-Land , on the east by the Office Gross Schoenebeck (Schorfheide) , on the south by the Office Liebenwalde and the Office Lowenberg , and in the west to the offices of Löwenberg and Gransee and municipalities .

In the course of the formation of offices in Brandenburg, the Minister of the Interior gave his consent to the formation of the (new) Zehdenick office on September 17, 1992, based in the city of Zehdenick. October 1, 1992 was set as the date on which the office was established. At the time it was founded, the office comprised the following communities in what was then the Gransee district :

At the end of 1992 the new office had 11,193 inhabitants. On March 27, 1995, the name of the office was changed to Amt Zehdenick and municipalities. As of December 31, 2001, the communities Bergsdorf, Ribbeck and Vogelsang were incorporated into the city of Zehdenick.

On October 26, 2003, the municipalities of Badingen, Cap, Klein-Mutz, Kurtschlag, Marienthal, Mildenberg, Wesendorf and Zabelsdorf were incorporated into the city of Zehdenick by law. The office of Zehdenick and municipalities was dissolved at the same time, the city of Zehdenick was made free. The municipalities of Mildenberg and Badingen lodged a municipal constitutional complaint before the constitutional court of the state of Brandenburg, some of which were rejected and the rest rejected.
