The Oerlinghausen office is a former office in the former county and later principality of Lippe with its seat in Oerlinghausen . The area essentially extended to the areas of today's city of Oerlinghausen and the municipality of Leopoldshöhe and is now in the Lippe district in North Rhine-Westphalia , Germany .

history

In the county of Lippe , the previous Bailiwick of Oerlinghausen was raised to the position of Oerlinghausen and thus the lowest administrative instance. Until then, the area belonged to the Detmold Office . From 1879 the office together with the office Schötmar formed the administrative office Schötmar . In 1926, the community of Oerlinghausen received city rights and became the tenth city in Lippe with no official status. Until 1928 the office had to fulfill state administrative tasks, then also local self-government matters were added.

In 1927, the administrative office of Schötmar was renamed Landratsamt Schötmar and finally dissolved on April 1, 1932 as part of the district reform in Lippe . The area of the District Office (and thus also the area of the Oerlinghausen District ) was merged with the area of the District Office Brake , which was also dissolved, and the cities of Oerlinghausen, Barntrup and Schötmar to form the new Lemgo district. From then on, the Lemgo district immediately formed the lowest administrative authority.

The tasks of the judiciary were taken over by the district court of Oerlinghausen since 1879 .
