The Office of Rammelburg was an administrative unit of the part of the County of Mansfeld that fell after the sequestration of Kursachsen .

history

In the 15th century, the Counts of Mansfeld acquired the feudal lords of Rammelburg and Wippra , which were combined into one office in 1506. Since the end of the 16th century, the Rammelburg office has been pledged almost permanently.

Count David von Mansfeld (1573–1628) sold his Rammelburg castle , house and office Rammelburg to Caspar von Berlepsch (1560–1628) on Buhla and Großbodungen in Naumburg (Saale) on June 24, 1602 .

In addition to Rammelburg, the following spots and villages are also pledged for the sum of 100,000 thalers for 15 years: Wippra , Braunschwende , Königerode , Steinbrücken , Abberode , Ritzgerode , Biesenrode , Hermerode and Friesdorf as well as the Vorwerke Rammelburg, Popperode and Hilkenschwende .

After 22 years there was an addendum to the contract between Count David von Mansfeld and Caspar von Berlepsch on June 12, 1624 at the Rammelburg, which concerned the construction costs for the Rammelburg Castle, the Vorwerk and the brewery. In the contract of 1602, Caspar von Berlepsch had been promised that he would be reimbursed 5,000 thalers upon submission of building bills. However, the evaluation of the building bills showed that the building costs had meanwhile increased to 14,445 guilders. After tough negotiations, Berlepsch and Count David compared that von Berlepsch would receive all of the movables listed in the inventory from 1602 and that the construction costs would thus be paid permanently.

In 1624 the office was taken over by the von Stammer family from Ballenstedt , who were to be followed by other private owners.

In 1808 the sovereignty of the state passed from the Kingdom of Saxony to the Kingdom of Westphalia . In 1815 the office came completely to Prussia.
