Ritzgerode is a district of the town of Mansfeld in the district of Mansfeld-Südharz in Saxony-Anhalt .


Ritzgerode is located on the eastern edge of the Harz, about 15 kilometers north of Sangerhausen .


The place was first mentioned in a document in 1046. He later belonged to the Rammelburg office .
