Braunschwende is a district of the town of Mansfeld in the district of Mansfeld-Südharz in Saxony-Anhalt , Germany.
geography
The village is located on the eastern edge of the Harz, about 25 km north of Sangerhausen .
history
On December 27, 1370, the place is first mentioned as Brunswende in a document issued by Friedrich von Hackeborn. The place was in the office of Rammelburg .
About one kilometer west of Braunschwende was in the Middle Ages, the desolate fallen Allrode .
On March 6, 2009, Braunschwende was incorporated into Mansfeld.

Buildings
The church Maria Magdalena was built in the years 1781–1796 in baroque style and consecrated in January 1787.

- The village festival is held every year on the 2nd weekend in July.
- The Children's Festival is celebrated on June 1st every year.
- A retiree's birthday is held every year in August.
- Every year in December all pensioners are invited to the Christmas party.
Miscellaneous (trivia)
Braunschwende is also called Pasching by the vernacular in Mansfeld. The residents are called Paschinger or pass shop. It is not known where this name comes from.
