The Lower Dahmeland Office was an office in the state of Brandenburg formed in 1992 , in which six communities in what was then the district of Königs Wusterhausen (now the district of Dahme-Spreewald , Brandenburg) had come together to form an administrative association. The seat of the official administration was in the city of Königs Wusterhausen . The Lower Dahmeland Office was dissolved in 2003, and the municipalities belonging to the office were incorporated into the city of Königs Wusterhausen by the Sixth Law on State-wide Municipal Area Reform.

Geographical location

The Unteres Dahmeland office bordered the Berlin district of Treptow-Köpenick in the north, the Spreenhagen office in the east, the Friedersdorf office in the southeast, the city of Königs Wusterhausen in the south and the non-official communities Wildau and Zeuthen in the west .

history

On July 9, 1992, the Minister of the Interior of the State of Brandenburg gave his consent to the formation of the Lower Dahmeland Office. July 21, 1992 was set as the date of establishment of the office. The office was based in the city of Königs Wusterhausen and initially consisted of six communities in what was then the district of Königs Wusterhausen :

  1. Kablow
  2. Lower back
  3. Senzig
  4. Zeesen
  5. Zernsdorf
  6. Wernsdorf

On October 26, 2003, the municipalities of Kablow, Niederlehme, Senzig, Wernsdorf, Zeesen and Zernsdorf were incorporated into the city of Königs Wusterhausen by law. The Lower Dahmeland Office was dissolved.

The municipalities of Kablow, Wernsdorf and Zernsdorf lodged a municipal constitutional complaint with the constitutional court of Brandenburg, which was granted. However, the Constitutional Court granted the legislature a deadline of 2006 to come up with a new regulation. On June 29, 2004, the state parliament passed the confirmation law after the report and the recommendation of the interior committee. The renewed constitutional complaints were partly rejected, the rest rejected.

Office Director

The first official director was Karl Schulze. In October 2001 Paul Steiner became the official director and remained so until the office was dissolved.
