history
The Electoral Palatinate Oberamt Mosbach came to the newly formed Principality of Leiningen in 1803 through the Reichsdeputationshauptschluss . As a result of the mediatization in 1806, the Leiningen areas fell to Baden, but until 1813 consideration was given to the class and landlords in the administrative structure . A special feature here is the rule of Zwingenberg, which was given to the Counts of Bretzenheim in 1778, with the district bailiwick still under the authority of the Mosbach regional authority.
The affiliation of the Office Zwingenberg within the hierarchical structure of the Baden administration:
- From 1806: Province of the Lower Rhine or the Baden Palatinate County (Mannheim) - civil offices: Brezenheim Office Zwingenberg
- From 1809: Odenwälderkreis (Mosbach) - civil offices: Amt Zwingenberg
1813 the Office Zwingenberg is dissolved and in the district office Eberbach incorporated .
