Gronau is the seat of the district court of Gronau , which is responsible for the city of Gronau (Westphalia) in the Borken district. Around 47,000 people live in the 79 km² judicial district .

The regional court superordinate to the district court Gronau is the regional court Münster , which in turn is subordinate to the higher regional court Hamm .

history

The district court of Gronau was established on the basis of a Prussian law of April 30, 1913 on February 1, 1917 and took over the city of Gronau in Westphalia and the communities of Epe Dorf and Epe Kirchspiel from the district of the Ahaus district court .
