First there was the Prussian- Hohenzollern district court from 1852 in Hechingen. This was housed in the old town in what was then Schrannenstrasse. In 1869 the construction of a new courthouse at Heiligkreuzstrasse 9 began, which the local and regional court moved into in 1872. The attic and the third floor of the late classical building burned out completely during the war years. The damage was repaired in 1942/43, but only a new roof was put on for repairs, so that the court has only two floors to this day. That is why the Hechingen District Court is now housed in both buildings.

District and jurisdiction

The judicial district of the Hechingen District Court comprises the cities and communities of Bisingen , Burladingen , Grosselfingen , Hechingen , Jungingen and Rangendingen .
