District court Wattenscheid

The District Court of Wattenscheid was a district court that was located in the Bochum district of Wattenscheid until December 31, 1977 and was subordinate to the District Court of Bochum . Since then, his district has belonged entirely to the Bochum District Court .

The building was erected in 1879–80 on behalf of the then city of Wattenscheid according to the contract for the construction of a courthouse dated August 22, 1878. An extension was made in 1934 and 1935 and demolished in autumn 1978.

Until 1892, the Wattenscheid District Court belonged to the Essen Regional Court , then to the newly established Bochum Regional Court.
