Wennigsen District Court (Deister)
The Wennigsen (Deister) district court is one of six district courts in the district of the Hanover regional court . It is based in Wennigsen (Deister) in Lower Saxony .
Responsibilities
The Wennigsen district court is responsible for the cities of Barsinghausen , Gehrden and Ronnenberg as well as for the municipality of Wennigsen (Deister) and thus for around 90,000 court residents in the south-west of Hanover . The Hanover Regional Court is superordinate to it. The competent higher regional court is the higher regional court of Celle .
Equipment and management
The district court employs 54 people. The court has six and a half judges' posts. Ten employees work as judicial officers, five as sergeants and four as bailiffs (August 2012). In 2011, 2,451 cases were treated.
history
By a Royal Hanover Ordinance of October 28, 1817, the office of Calenberg was divided into the offices of Calenberg and Wennigsen . Wennigsen was given its own court for civil matters and voluntary jurisdiction, criminal matters continued to be heard in Calenberg for the time being. With the Hanoverian Courts Constitution Act of November 8, 1850, which came into force on October 1, 1852 , the Wennigsen District Court was established and subordinated to the Hanover Higher Court .
building
The district court building is now at Hülsebrinkstrasse 1. The buildings used by the district court today include two monuments. These are the former Villa Krogmann and part of a former farm building.
Villa Krogmann
The Villa Krogmann is a two-storey half-timbered building with vertical planking. A square tower with a Welscher dome was built on the east side . In the 18th century the building formed the south-western corner of the local border.
Former district court
The former district court building at Hauptstrasse 39 is now privately owned and used as a residential building. It is also classified as an architectural monument.
