Amy Manson (born November 15, 1985 in Aberdeenshire , Scotland ) is a Scottish actress .

Life

Amy Manson was born on November 15, 1985 and grew up in Aberdeenshire. Her mother was a social worker and her father was an electrician. Manson has a sister named Ailsa and a brother named James.

Amy Manson became interested in acting as a child. So she attended a drama course in which she learned to sing, dance and act. She completed her acting training at the Central School of Speech and Drama.

Immediately after graduation, she traveled to Romania and Thailand to direct the horror films Pumpkinhead: Blood Feud and Bloodmonkey . Amy Manson became known for her portrayal of Lizzie Siddal in Desperate Romantics , her portrayal of the vampire Daisy in Being Human , and the role of Alice Guppy in Torchwood . Since 2015 Manson can be seen as Merida in the fantasy series Once Upon a Time .

In addition to her film and television appearances, Amy Manson is a sought-after stage actress. She appeared in the National Theater of Scotland, among others . Manson won the Scottish Critics' Choice Award for Best Actress for her performance in Six Characters in Search of an Author.
