The amyl ( Russian Амы́л ) is the left source river of the tuba in the Karatusski rajon of the Krasnoyarsk region in southern Siberia .
The amyl rises on the northern slope of up to 2492 m high Kurtuschibinski-comb in Westsajan . From there it flows through the northern foothills of the Sajan Mountains in a predominantly north-northwest direction. Finally it leaves the mountainous country, passes the administrative center of Karatusskoye and joins about 20 km downstream, about 90 km east of the city of Abakan , with the Kasyr flowing in from the east to form the tuba. The Amyl has a length of 257 km. It drains an area of 9500 km². The Amyl floods in May and June .
