Ana Lucia José Tima (born October 10, 1989 in La Romana ) is a Dominican triple jumper who occasionally competes in the long jump .

Athletic career

Ana José Tima gained her first international experience at the Central American and Caribbean Games (CAC) 2010 in Mayagüez , where she took eighth place in the long jump with 5.91 m and fourth in the triple jump with a width of 13.61 m. In the following year she reached the CAC championships there with a 5.63 m rank 15 in the long jump and won the bronze medal in the triple jump with 13.11 m. Then she classified at the Pan American Games in Guadalajara with 12.80 m in twelfth place. In 2015 she won the silver medal behind the Jamaican Shanieka Ricketts at the NACAC Championships in San José with 14.21 m . In October she won the bronze medal at the Military World Games in Mungyeon, South Korea, with 13.80 m. In 2016 she was fourth at the Ibero-American Championships in Rio de Janeiro with 13.84 m and also qualified for the Olympic Games there , where she did not reach the final with 13.61 m . The following year she won the Juegos Bolivarianos in Santa Marta with 13.50 m and was eighth in the long jump with 5.71 m. In 2018 she finished fourth at the Central America and Caribbean Games in Barranquilla with 14.13 m.
