Anatoli Alexejewitsch Koteschew ( Russian Анатолий Алексеевич Котешев ; born July 16, 1944 in Novosibirsk , Russian SFSR ) is a former Soviet foil fencer .
successes
Anatoli Koteschew was world champion in Ankara in 1970 and Göteborg in 1973 in the team competition and also won silver in 1971 in Vienna . At the 1972 Olympic Games in Munich , he moved with the team to the final against Poland , which was lost 5-9. Together with Vladimir Denisov , Viktor Putjatin , Leonid Romanow and Wassyl Stankowytsch , he received the silver medal. In the individual competition Koteschew survived the first two rounds before he was eliminated in the quarterfinals.
