And Hell Followed With is a deathcore band from Detroit , Michigan , United States formed in 2006 .
history
And Hell Followed With was founded in Detroit in 2006 . After numerous line-up changes, the band consists of singer Andrew Patterson, the three guitarists Patrick Hahn, Hunter Spader and Adrian Carey, as well as bassist Nick Scott and drummer Byron London.
In 2008, after a demo, the debut album Domain was released on the small label Statik Factory Records in the same year . The group signed a contract with the metal label Earache Records in August 2009 . In December of the same year, the band moved with producer Josh Wickerman the Dreadcore Productions Studio in White Lake , Michigan and played the songs for the album. The album, which bears the title Proprioception , was released in mid-2010.
After the group had been quiet for a long time, the musicians announced in July 2019 that they had signed with Hollowed Records and that they would be releasing a new record in the form of an EP for the first time in nine years with Chimerical Reality .
During their career the band toured with groups like Within the Ruins , Blind Witness and Suffokate .
style
According to Blabbermouth.net , the band combines death metal like Deicide's with approaches of the new kind like the ones practiced by groups like Whitechapel and Oceano . Chris Gütl from the online metal magazine Stormbringer.at attests the musicians technical sophistication, but he notes critically that all songs come with the same scheme, so that the music seems monotonous. According to the German Metal Hammer 's songs are mostly in Down and midtempo settling range, which now and then blast beats are applied.
