Åke Anders "Acka" Andersson (born January 2, 1937 in Skellefteå ; † December 15, 1989 ibid) was a Swedish ice hockey player .

Career

Anders Andersson began his career as an ice hockey player in his hometown at Skellefteå AIK , for whose professional team he was active from 1955 to 1966 in Division 1 , the then highest Swedish league. In the 1967/68 season , the attacker ran for league rivals Färjestad BK before returning to his home club Skellefteå AIK for the 1968/69 season, where he then ended his career at the age of 32. In 1961 and 1962 he won the goldpuck as Sweden's ice hockey player of the year.

International

For Sweden Andersson took part in the 1960 Winter Olympics in Squaw Valley and 1964 in Innsbruck . At the 1964 Winter Games, he and his team won the silver medal. He was also in his country's squad at the 1957 , 1962 and 1965 World Championships . At the World Championships in 1957 and 1962, he won the gold medal with his team. As the best European team, Sweden also became European champions. At the 1965 World Cup, he won the bronze medal with his country.
