Anders Olsen (politician)

Anders Simon Olsen (born July 1, 1971 in Qullissat ) is a Greenlandic politician ( Siumut ) and police officer .

Life

Anders Olsen attended grammar school from 1988 to 1991. He then studied at Ilisimatusarfik from 1992 to 1994 and finally trained as a police officer from 1996 to 1999. He is married and has six children.

Anders Olsen ran for the first time in the 2009 parliamentary elections for a place in the Inatsisartut , then still for the Inuit Ataqatigiit . With 88 votes, he was able to move into parliament for the first time via a replacement place, whereupon he gave up his job as a police officer. In 2013 he applied for a seat in parliament for the Siumut and won a place as a successor with 133 votes. In the election the following year , he immediately won a seat with 280 votes. He also ran in the 2017 local elections and entered the council of Kujalleq with 119 votes . With 241 votes succeeded in in 2018 the draw for the fourth time in succession in the Parliament of Greenland.
