Andreas Slavik

Andreas Slavik (born February 21, 1960 in Vienna , Austria ), also known as Andi Slavik , is an Austrian musician and composer .

Life

Andreas Slavik studied composition and orchestration at the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna . He also studied arrangement and improvisation at the Vienna Conservatory. He specializes in piano and jazz. He started his music career in 1987 with the composer Harold Faltermeyer , for whom he worked as an arranger, orchestrator, composer and music producer. He later wrote, composed, and produced music for The Pet Shop Boys , La Toya Jackson , Hubert Kah , Roger Chapman , Isaac Hayes, and Jennifer Rush . In the 1990s he worked with Susanne Kemmler and released the album Close to Heaven with her in 1995 as Andi Slavik & Susanne Kemmler. The single Indian Spirits reached number 25 in the German charts. He also wrote other songs for Kemmler in the early 2000s. Since the late 1990s, Slavik has also composed music for German television films. He was responsible for the music of the comedies Too Beautiful for Me and A Vacation Home on Ibiza , as well as Divorce with Obstacles (2001).
