Andipaxos ( Greek Αντίπαξος [ anˈtipaxɔs ] ( f. Sg. ), Also Greek Αντίπαξοι Andipaxi ( m. Pl. )) Is a Greek island that belongs to the group of the Ionian Islands . It is located about 2.5 kilometers south of the island of Paxos and forms with this the municipality of Paxi .
Andipaxos is about four kilometers long, never much wider than two kilometers and about five square kilometers in size. The less than 150 summer residents live in Vigla, the main town on the island. In winter, however, less than half of the population lives on the island.
In summer, the pebble and sandy beaches in the northeast of the island attract some day tourists. The most famous beaches are Voutoumi and Vrika . Guest rooms on the island are rare.
