André Alter (born August 20, 1973 in Lünen ) is a former German soccer goalkeeper .

Career

In the Bundesliga he completed the last ten games of the season in the 1993/94 season for relegated SG Wattenscheid 09 . He benefited from the fact that the other two goalkeepers Ralf Eilenberger and Udo Mai had injured themselves. After his short career in the Bundesliga, he played in the major league with SpVg Beckum , in the regional league for SpVgg Erkenschwick and again in the major league for SV Westfalia Rhynern , before moving to the association league club Davaria Davensberg in 2002, where he played until 2010. He then became an assistant coach at FC Nordkirchen.

National team

For the German U-21 national team , Alter played a game: In the 0-1 defeat against Greece on May 20, 1994, he was substituted on for Dimo Wache in the 63rd minute .
