biography

Casanova studied law and music at the École Normale in Paris. Through his teacher René Leibowitz , he first experimented with twelve-tone music ; from around 1954 he developed his own style, which was inspired by both contemporary and romantic elements.

A copy of the score with over 100 pages is in the music department of the central library of the Hamburg public library (HÖB) with a handwritten dedication to Wolfgang Sawallisch , whom he greatly admired.
