André Pierre Louis Dupuy (born February 13, 1940 in Soustons , Aquitaine ) is a diplomat of the Holy See .

Life

André Pierre Louis Dupuy was ordained a priest on July 8, 1972 . Pope John Paul II appointed him on April 6, 1993 titular archbishop pro hac vice of Selsea and apostolic nuncio in Ghana , Benin and Togo .

The episcopal ordination received his Cardinal Secretary of State , Angelo Cardinal Sodano , the same year on June 6; Co- consecrators were Robert Pierre Sarrabère , Bishop of Aire and Dax , and Gérard Antoine Léopold Daucourt , Bishop of Troyes .

He resigned from his position as Apostolic Nuncio in Benin on November 27, 1999. On March 27, 2000 he was appointed Apostolic Nuncio in Venezuela . On February 24, 2005, he was appointed Apostolic Nuncio to the European Community . On July 11, 2006, he was appointed Apostolic Nuncio in Monaco . Benedict XVI. appointed him on December 15, 2011 as Apostolic Nuncio in the Netherlands . He was retired on March 21, 2015 .
