André Keil (born September 16, 1967 in Crivitz near Schwerin ) is a German sports journalist , sports commentator , author and moderator of major events. His focus is on sailing .

After graduating from high school, Keil studied journalism . In 1992 he started working for Norddeutscher Rundfunk and until 2005 was sports director of the Landesfunkhaus Schwerin for radio and television . Since 2005 he has been studio manager at the Landesfunkhaus Schwerin.

For the ARD wedge was as a professional commentator for the sport of sailing and boxing worked and was among others at Olympic Games , World and European Championships, the Admiral's Cup and the Volvo Ocean Race in use. Sailing career

André Keil came to sailing through his father, a sailing instructor and trainer, at the age of six. He operated this in terms of performance until 1989, most recently in the 470 boat class .
