André Keil

André Keil (born September 16, 1967 in Crivitz near Schwerin ) is a German sports journalist , sports commentator , author and moderator of major events. His focus is on sailing .

job

After graduating from high school, Keil studied journalism . In 1992 he started working for Norddeutscher Rundfunk and until 2005 was sports director of the Landesfunkhaus Schwerin for radio and television . Since 2005 he has been studio manager at the Landesfunkhaus Schwerin.

For the ARD wedge was as a professional commentator for the sport of sailing and boxing worked and was among others at Olympic Games , World and European Championships, the Admiral's Cup and the Volvo Ocean Race in use. He also commented on the BMW Sailing Cup, his first presentation in this series took place in October 2006 at the BMW Sailing Cup in Hamburg .

Keil is married and has two sons.

Sailing career

André Keil came to sailing through his father, a sailing instructor and trainer, at the age of six. He operated this in terms of performance until 1989, most recently in the 470 boat class .
