André Marty (journalist)

André Marty (born September 16, 1965 in Visp ) is a Swiss journalist .

Career

André Marty grew up in Gampel and Sursee . After secondary school, he attended the St. Gallen School of Journalism . He initially worked for the Walliser Bote , the Luzerner Tagblatt and the Luzerner Neusten Nachrichten , then as an editor and deputy news chief for the Sunday newspaper . In 1996 Jana Caniga brought him to the editorial office of the Swiss television news program 10vor10 . In 1999 he became the Italy correspondent for Swiss television. After four years in Rome, he moved to the Middle East in 2004 and reported from Tel Aviv until 2010 . From November 2010 to February 2012 he was editor and presenter at the Tagesschau .

From April 2012 he worked as a communications officer for the Directorate for Development and Cooperation (SDC). Since March 1, 2015 he has been Head of Information at the Federal Prosecutor's Office ; he reports directly to the federal prosecutor Michael Lauber .

As a part-time job, he ran the blog andré marty reports from 2008 to 2011 , which was nominated for the Grimme Online Award Information 2010.

André Marty is married and has one daughter.
