André Nikolai Skjelstad (born August 27, 1965 in Trondheim ) is a Norwegian politician from the socially liberal Venstre . From 2005 to 2009 and again since 2013 he has been a member of the Storting .

Life

From 1995 to 2007 and again from 2011 Skjelstad was a member of Verran's municipal parliament . Between 2003 and 2007 and again from 2011 to 2015 Skjelstad was a member of parliament in the Fylkesting of what was then the province of Nord-Trøndelag . In addition to his political activities, he works as a farmer.

Skjelstad moved into the Norwegian national parliament in Storting for the first time in the 2005 general election . There he represented the constituency of Nord-Trøndelag until September 2009 and he became a member of the labor and social committee. In the 2013 election he moved back to Storting and became part of the local and administrative committee. After the 2017 election , he moved to the economic committee. Between October 2013 and January 2020, Skjelstad was also part of his party's parliamentary committee.
