André Rossignol (born August 9, 1890 in Paris , † December 5, 1960 there ) was a French racing car driver .

Career

André Rossignol was the first racing driver to win the Le Mans 24 Hours twice. Alongside Woolf Barnato , he was the most successful driver in this endurance race in the 1920s . He was a works driver for Lorraine-Dietrich for four years and won the race in 1925 - with Gérard de Courcelles - and in 1926 - with Robert Bloch - as their respective partners.

After Lorraine-Dietrich withdrew from racing in 1927, Rossignol started again in Le Mans as a works driver for Chrysler France in 1928 . With Henri Stoffel as his partner, he was third overall in a Chrysler 72 Six .
