Andrés Spiller

Andrés Spiller (born December 24, 1946 in Buenos Aires ) is an Argentine oboist, conductor and music teacher.

The son of the violinist Ljerko Spiller studied in Buenos Aires with his father, with Pedro Di Gregorio , Erwin Leuchter , Guillermo Graetzer and Teodoro Fuchs . With a scholarship from the DAAD , he continued his education at the Cologne University of Music . He also attended courses with Franco Ferrara , Bruno Maderna , Volker Wangenheim , Hans Swarowsky , Heinz Holliger and Michael Gielen .

From 1978 to 2005 he directed the Orquesta de Cámara de la Municipalidad de La Plata , with which he premiered several works for string orchestra. With the Ensamble Musical de Buenos Aires he gave concerts in Buenos Aires, Caracas and in the USA. Since 1994 he has been deputy director of the Orquesta Sinfónica Nacional . As a chamber musician he made guest appearances a. a. with the Koeckert Quartet and the Ensamble de Madrid and took part in the IV Jornadas de Música Contemporánea in Granada in 1993 . He is also a soloist with the Camerata Bariloche and the Camerata Bach and forms a trio with Tomás Tichauer and Mónica Cosachov .

The Fundación Conex recognized Spiller as one of the five best woodwind musicians in Argentina in 1989 and 1999. Gerardo Gandini , Salvador Ranieri and Fernando Gonzales Casellas dedicated to him . Spiller teaches oboe at the Conservatorio JJCastro in La Lucila.
