Career
André Faust began his career as a hockey player in the Princeton University team , for which he was active in ECAC Hockey from 1988 to 1992 . During this period he was selected in the NHL Entry Draft 1989 in the ninth round as a total of 173 players by the New Jersey Devils , for which he however never played because they did not sign him in the following two years. But mainly he played for their farm team from the American Hockey League , the Hershey Bears . On September 20, 1995 he was given in exchange for a seven-round vote in the 1997 NHL Entry Draft to the Winnipeg Jets , but was only used by their AHL farm team, the Springfield Falcons , in the 1995/96 season .
In the summer of 1996, Faust was signed by the Augsburg Panthers , for which he ran in the DEL for the following four years . He then moved to the Kölner Haien , with whom he was German champion in the 2001/02 season . The Canadian ended his career in Northern Europe, where he was on the ice between 2002 and 2004 in one season each for the reigning Swedish champions Färjestad BK in the Elitserien , and the Danish runner-up Odense Bulldogs in the AL-Bank Ligaen .
