Andrea Cassinelli (born September 2, 1993 in Moncalieri ) is an Italian short tracker .

Career

Cassinelli, who starts for the Velocisti Ghiaccio from Turin , made his first international appearance at the 2010 Junior World Championships in Taipei . There he achieved 11th place with the relay. At the Junior World Championships 2011 in Courmayeur , he finished 20th in the all-around competition and 15th in the relay. He made his debut in the Short Track World Cup in October 2011 in Salt Lake City and came 24th in the 1000 m. and on the 15th place over 1500 m. At the Junior World Championships in Melbourne in 2012 he ran to 49th place in the all-around and to ninth place with the relay and at the Junior World Championships 2013 in Warsaw to 46th place in the all-around and to seventh place with the relay. In January 2013 he was fourth with the relay at the European Championships in Malmö . In the 2015/16 season he achieved his first podium finish in the World Cup with second place in the relay in Shanghai . At the 2016 European Championships in Sochi , he was fifth and at the 2016 World Championships in Seoul sixth with the relay. The following year he won the bronze medal with the relay at the European Championships in Turin. He also achieved 18th place in the all-around competition and 24th place in the all- around competition at the World Championships in Rotterdam . At the European Championships 2018 in Dresden he was fourth and at the European Championships 2019 in Dordrecht fifth with the relay. In February 2019 he came in third place with the relay in the World Cup in Turin. At the World Championships in Sofia the following month , he took eighth place with the relay. In the following year he finished 20th in the all- around at the European Championships in Debrecen and won the bronze medal again with the relay.
