Andrea Deck (born February 5, 1994 in Grosse Pointe , Michigan ) is an American actress and voice actress .

life and career

Andrea Deck is from Grosse Point, Michigan. When she was 15 she first attended the Interlochen Center for the Arts summer camp until she graduated from Grosse Pointe South High School at 18. Her dream was to study at an English drama school, although she longed to become an opera singer. After graduation, she moved to London and studied at the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art , from which she graduated with a Bachelor of Classical Acting.

Her first role in front of the camera was in the 2009 short film In Love With a Nun , which was shown at the Cannes International Film Festival . Three years later she played a small role in Tom Hoopers Les Misérables . In 2013 she played the opera singer Charlotte Watson in the film Der Teufelsgeiger at the side of David Garrett , whose vocal parts she recorded for the film. In 2016 she played the character of Leonie in the film drama Denial . Her television appearances include guest appearances on Mr. Selfridge , The Crown and Hanna .

In addition to acting in front of the camera, she also regularly lends her voice to characters from video games. In the games Strike Suit Zero and Alien: Isolation , she lent her voice to the main character. She was also heard in the English-language original in SOMA and Star Wars Battlefront . She also spoke characters in Hitman , Quantum Break and Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Wildlands .

In 2018 she appeared as Patricia Martel in the film 7 Days in Entebbe and also took on a supporting role in the British science fiction crime series The City & The City . In 2020, she took on the role of Jenna Bragg in the final eighth season of the series Homeland .

Personal

Deck is type 1 diabetic . She reports on how she deals with the disease on her social media channels and on her own YouTube channel .
