Andrea McEwan
Andrea McEwan [ ˈændriə mæˈkjuən ] (born October 9, 1978 in Melbourne , Victoria ) is an Australian actress , singer , musician and songwriter .
Life
Andrea McEwan attended MacRobertson Girls High School in Melbourne and began her acting career in various TV series, including Ocean Girl and Funky Squad . In 1991 she was nominated for a Gladys Moncrieff Award (in the category Outstanding New Talent) for her role in Annie by the Music Theater Guild of Victoria. In the Australian series Neighbors McEwan took on various roles, first in 1989 the role of Sonia, 1991 the role of Sarah Livingston, 1995 McEwan appeared as Nicole Cahill and 2002 as Penny Watts in the series.
In 2000 she attended Australia's most renowned drama institute, NIDA, and completed her training with a "Bachelor of Dramatic Art".
After moving to Europe in 2000, Andrea McEwan began her career as a singer and songwriter. In 2006 she signed a songwriting contract with Dramatico Songs. In collaboration with Katie Melua , she wrote the lyrics for What I Miss About You and Dirty Dice , which appeared on Katie Melua's third album Pictures .
Andrea McEwan's first single, Candle In A Chatroom , was released in October 2008 and her debut album Rental Property on April 24, 2009 .
