German Psychology Prize
The German Psychology Prize is an award for scientifically active psychologists in German-speaking countries. The German Society for Psychology , the Professional Association of German Psychologists , the Federal Chamber of Psychotherapists since 2011 and the Leibniz Center for Psychological Information and Documentation since 2019 have honored outstanding scientific achievements in the field of psychology with high practical relevance with the award, which was first awarded in 1992 . From 1992 to 2017, the Christoph Dornier Foundation for Clinical Psychology was the supporting organization.
The award, endowed with 10,000 euros (up to 2008: 5,000 euros), is also intended to raise the profile of the scientific achievements of psychology. The prize is awarded every two years (until 2008: annually) in Berlin in the Leibnizsaal of the Berlin-Brandenburg Academy of Science.
The jury consists of one representative from each of the four participating organizations and other external members.
