Andreas Baumkircher (gunsmith)

Andreas Baumkircher (born April 1955 in Graz ) is an Austrian gunsmith and marksman .

Career

Baumkircher began training as a gunsmith in 1970 in the training workshop of the master gunsmith cooperative in Ferlach . In 1973 he was able to take the journeyman's examination. From 1980 to 1982 he prepared for the master craftsman examination. In 1982 he passed the master's examination. from.

In the years from 1973 to 1980 Andreas Baumkircher first worked as a journeyman at the Juch company in Ferlach and then went "on the roll" . During this time he worked for companies such as W & O Dittmann, Hamburg (D), Nemrod SA, Mulhouse (F), JJ Sipp, Strassbourg (F) and Iffli-Kettner, Metz (F).

From 1982 to 1987 he was workshop manager at Grünig & Elmiger AG, Malters (CH). During this time he had the most important repair experience for Smith & Wesson , Anschütz , Valmet , Feinwerkbau , Tikkakoski and Parker-Hale , and he was also allowed to take on the training of apprentices.

From 1987 to 2001 Baumkircher worked for Ertle-Erzinger AG, Cham (CH), initially as managing director and finally as owner. During this time he has specialized in the development and manufacture of high-quality black powder competition weapons , which were sold worldwide and with which national and international championships have been won.

Baumkircher managed the workshop at Glaser (Zurich / Winterthur) from 2001 to 2003. From 2003 to 2006 he worked as a branch manager at Waffenhaus Schneider, Interlaken (CH). From 2006 to 2010 he worked on the development and management of the workshop and the service center at Steyr Mannlicher in the Europa Shooting Center in Wiener Neustadt. Consulting, sales and the further development of the products manufactured in-house were also among his areas of responsibility at Steyr Mannlicher.

Baumkirchen has been self-employed since 2010.

Weapons manufactured by Baumkircher are reviewed in specialist magazines such as Internationales Waffen-Magazin or Schweizer Waffen-Magazin.
